Jen - Oh do I feel for you! I work with Lara - my Jack (just 2 today!) just got his cast off a week ago. His was on for 4 weeks - but only the knee down. You will be itching for her to get in the bathtub like you cannot imagine! Suprisingly, he had no sleep issues during it, so hope your little one doesn't either.
Here are a few tricks I learned:
- Stock up on diaper wipes for "baths"
- If you can get a big bag and rubberband it around the top of her leg, and get her to lay down at the end of the tub, she probably can hold her leg up against the back end and you can scrub away anyway! (Head toward the drain)
- Great time to go to the zoo for a day on the weekend!
I counted down the weekend days until we were cast free!
You will be amazed at how quickly she adapts to it. Good luck!
